OPDly vs TatvaPractice: Reception Software or AI EMR?

TatvaPractice is an AI-first EMR for doctors; OPDly runs reception, the queue, billing, pharmacy and lab. Prices, features and who each one suits.

Quick answer: TatvaPractice and OPDly solve different problems. TatvaPractice is built around the doctor's digital prescription pad, with AI tools such as voice prescriptions, and is ABDM certified. OPDly is built around the front desk — tokens, billing, WhatsApp updates, pharmacy and lab — and the doctor can keep writing on paper.

The right choice depends on where your clinic loses the most time: at the doctor's desk, or at reception.

What a 2-doctor clinic pays

For a clinic with two doctors that wants patient records and billing:

  • TatvaPractice: (₹14,999 EMR + ₹5,999 OPD billing) × 2 doctors = ₹41,996 a year*.
  • OPDly Standard: ₹9,588 a year plus GST for up to 5 doctors and 5 staff, including pharmacy, lab, online booking and WhatsApp updates.

Choose TatvaPractice if

  • The doctor wants to dictate or photograph prescriptions and let AI fill them in.
  • You need ABDM certification.
  • The doctor's documentation, not the queue, is your main problem.

Choose OPDly if

  • The bottleneck is the front desk: walk-ins, tokens, bills and patients waiting.
  • You run a pharmacy or lab and want medicines and tests to flow from the prescription.
  • You want one flat price for the clinic, not a price per doctor plus add-ons.
  • Your doctors prefer to keep writing on paper.

What you get with OPDly

  • Reception and queue: walk-in tokens in seconds, phone bookings, one live queue for every doctor, and a live queue link for patients on WhatsApp (Standard and above).
  • Billing: GST bills, cash, UPI or card, part payments and dues.
  • Pharmacy and lab (Standard and above): stock by batch and expiry, lab orders, results and branded reports.
  • Your data: backed up daily; export your patient list and appointments to Excel, and import patients from a CSV file.
  • Help: support on WhatsApp or a call at +91 81460 14182.

Frequently asked questions

Is OPDly an EMR like TatvaPractice?

No. OPDly is clinic management software: it runs appointments, the token queue, billing, pharmacy and lab, with digital prescriptions available. It does not have AI prescription tools and is not ABDM certified. TatvaPractice is an EMR focused on the doctor's prescription pad.

Which is cheaper for a clinic with several doctors?

OPDly charges one yearly price for the whole clinic — ₹9,588 plus GST covers up to 5 doctors on the Standard plan. TatvaPractice's in-app price is per doctor, with billing as a paid add-on.

Can a clinic use both?

Some clinics could use an EMR for the doctor and OPDly at reception, but you would enter patients twice. Most small clinics are better off choosing the one that fixes their biggest daily problem.
